Hey, I’m James.

I work with businesses, ministries, and individuals with a story to tell. I help them make an impact and tell their stories using digital media.

I’ve got 8+ years of experience with visual media, I’ve worked with clients like Princeton Theological Seminary and ZSpace, and publications like Photographers’ Forum have featured me.

I’ve written blog posts for Contrastly, made a time lapse film about the city of Sarasota, and designed a ton of different websites for organizations.

In my spare time, I run an RVing website, which I’ve grown to over 80,000 pageviews a month.

My interests seem varied at first – but that’s the point. I help my clients with their entire digital media strategy – designing digital experiences that make lasting impressions on people.

And when I’m not creating the perfect web page or shooting a new video, you can find me exploring new places, enjoying a baseball game, or working on my ping pong skills.

If you’re dying to know more, here are three things about me:

  • I love Jesus. I’m a product of grace, deeply flawed yet even more deeply loved.
  • I’m a doer. Relaxing stresses me out, and getting lots of sleep is exhausting.
  • Awesome > average.
  • I love reading – some of my recent favorites include Linchpin, Ask, and Wild At Heart.

“I used to be afraid that I wouldn’t make enough money; now I’m afraid I won’t make enough difference.” – Bob Goff

“The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see.” – G.K. Chesterton

“If at the end of my life, the only thing I’ve accomplished is a comfortable life, my days have been wasted.
If at the end of my life, the only thing I’ve fought for is my own name, my days have been wasted.
If at the end of my life, the only thing I’ve cared about is my own care, my days have been wasted.
If at the end of my life, the only thing I’ve stood for is my own reputation, my days have been wasted.
If at the end of my life, the only thing I’ve traded are works for rewards, my days have been wasted.
May we not go to the grave quietly.
May we not make refuse of the gifts we’ve been given.
May we never chase the shiny in place of the holy, the trend instead of the truth, the immediate instead of the eternal.
Arrive empty to the grave, having given all you were given, stewarded all you were tasked with.
Give the grave only bones.” – Jon Acuff

“I have no understanding as to why, when you’re 18 to even, let’s say 30, why you wouldn’t try to make what you’re passionate about work for you… If you go and become a lawyer or go to school and do all the things that everybody wants you to do, and don’t do the thing you really love, the real question isn’t what’s going to happen when you’re 23, 27, 31, 36. The question really becomes what’s going to happen when you’re 70 years old and you look back at your life and you’re like, ‘Why didn’t I try?’ There’s going to be a regret factor that I think a lot of times a guidance counselor or parent or teacher tend not to think about… They’re worried about your next ten years. I’m worried about your last ten years.” – Gary Vaynerchuk

“Practice. That’s all it is.” – Onne van der wal

“Diversity of intellectual playgrounds breeds confidence instead of fear of the unknown.” – Tim Ferriss (this is from a fantastic podcast episode.)
